The team at Saint John Craft Beer prides itself on showcasing some of the best local Tassie beer and acts as the distributor for local brewers such as Seven Sheds, Devils Brewery, Hobart Brewing Co, Ocho and Fox Friday Brewing.

Bring a mate and get comfy in the lounging area or out in the beer garden. What’s on offer is shown on a magnetic board at the bar, highlighting all the brews on rotation. There’s beer here to suit most palates and Tasmania’s cool climate. Choose from fruity or sour IPAs, refreshing amber ales, nutty dark ales, chocolate-malt black ales and golden pilsners.

Burgers and bar snacks can be ordered from the food van permanently parked out the back.

If you’re looking to purchase supplies for a night in, peruse the extensive range of bottled beer, craft ciders, wines and spirits. Be prepared to be decisive – there are more than 170 choices on the shelves.

Beer-related events are run here frequently, including the Fresh Hop Beer Festival, a chance to sample beer brewed using freshly harvested hops picked in the last 48 hours.
