We're drinking well right now. This month some great openings have arrived. While there's always room for a drink at one of Brisbane's best bars, it's always fun to try somewhere new, too.

This is our edit of Brisbane's best new bars, updated monthly. Some could become your new favourite; others may just be good for one memorable night. Our tip? Come hungry. A lot of these bars have killer menus that deserve to be explored.

  • The sibling to Supernormal is a European-inspired terrace bar with its own menu and views of the Story Bridge and Brisbane River.

  • The grand hotels of the world inspire this elegant European brasserie. Hit the ground floor steaks, seafood and snacks on the terrace. Upstairs is a cocktail bar pouring premium fizz by the glass.

  • Milquetoast, a late-night wine bar in a former CBD garage, is anything but. Hit this laneway destination for Brit-leaning food, amaro cocktails and the best lo-fi drops from small winemakers.

  • You’ll instantly feel like a regular at this relaxed watering hole. Come for the best local craft beer, mulled wine in winter and a pub-classics menu.
