Castaways Beach
If you’re walking or cycling the Noosa National Park’s renowned Coastal Pathway, Castaways Beach is an essential pitstop. The national park buttresses Castaways and its surrounds from the outside world, giving it an air of seclusion that belies its proximity to Noosa Heads and the more developed parts of the shire.
This is one of the least crowded parts of a very popular stretch of coast, and Castaways’ quiet, easy-going nature make it a particular favourite of families looking for a relaxed day out at the beach. The seclusion also means you’ll have to stock up on all of your food and beach gear before you get here.
While the swimming is great at Castaways, this beach is not patrolled, so make sure everyone getting into the water is a confident swimmer.
