Caribou Free DJ Shows
Dan Snaith – aka Caribou and Daphni – is one of this generation’s most prolific, and innovative, producers. The Canadian has released 12 albums to date, racking up Grammy noms and Resident Advisor’s album of the year (for 2010’s Swim, as Caribou) along the way.
His most recent album, Honey (also as Caribou) was one of 2024’s most divisive albums, with Snaith using AI to warp his own original voice to sound like a different vocalist on every track. See how he likes to push the boundaries of what’s possible?
Having just wrapped an Australian tour with the Caribou live band, Snaith has announced four free pop-up DJ shows in Melbourne, Torquay, Sydney and Bryon Bay, each lasting for four hours.
“You don’t need to sign up. Just show up,” Snaith says. “I’m playing long sets because I’ve got so much music I want to play for you.”
Given hits such as his 2011 remix of Ne Noya, originally released by Togo band Cos-Ber-Zam in 1973, it’s clear Snaith is an inveterate crate-digger, so expect plenty of obscure gems.
