Bicheno Beams at Lions Park
There are plenty of reasons to visit Bicheno on Tasmania’s east coast: picturesque beaches, scenic views, some of the best seafood in the state and accommodation options that are truly one-of-a-kind. And in winter, there’s even more reason to visit – it’s when you can see Bicheno Beams, the yearly laser show that lights up the night sky to a synchronised soundtrack.
From Saturday June 29 to Saturday July 20, head to Bicheno’s Lions Park from 5.30pm and secure your spot for the captivating light show. This free event runs for 15-minute slots over two hours (6pm to 8pm) each night.
When you arrive at Lions Park, volunteers will guide you down to the viewing area. Dress warmly and bring a picnic (we recommend a thermos of hot choccy) to make a night of it, or more – two different shows alternate each night of the season.
